{"id":240,"date":"2019-06-13T13:30:17","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T10:30:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/persona.qcri.org\/blog\/?p=240"},"modified":"2021-03-18T22:14:41","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T19:14:41","slug":"smiling-pictures-personas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/persona.qcri.org\/blog\/smiling-pictures-personas\/","title":{"rendered":"The Effect of Smiling Pictures on Perceptions of Personas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this research on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/333741039_The_Effect_of_Smiling_Pictures_on_Perceptions_of_Personas\">impact of smile on persona perceptions<\/a> with Soon-gyo Jung, Jo\u00e3o Santos, and Jim Jansen, we find that persona profiles with a smiling photo result in an increase in perceived similarity with, likability of, and willingness to use a persona.<\/p>\n<p>However, a smile does not increase the credibility of a persona.
