Yet, researchers<br \/>\nrarely make their interview questions publicly available or justify how they were chosen.<\/p>\n<p>In this research, lead by Joni Salminen, we manually extract 276 interview questions and categorize them into 10 themes. The 10 theme<br \/>\ntaxonomy was created based on abduction, i.e., a qualitative technique that involves using both pre-existing knowledge and also analyzing the emerging properties of the data making\u00a0this list publicly available for researchers and practitioners.<\/p>\n<p>The themes for the interview questions are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/persona.qcri.org\/blog\/persona-demographics-do-matter-use-them-in-the-profiles\/\">Demographics<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Life Situation<\/li>\n<li>School Life<\/li>\n<li>Work-Life<\/li>\n<li>Decision Making<\/li>\n<li>Information Sources<\/li>\n<li>Consumer Habits<\/li>\n<li>Pain Points<\/li>\n<li>Marketing Team<\/li>\n<li>Sales Team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also demonstrate an approach of using <a href=\"https:\/\/persona.qcri.org\/blog\/nlp-vs-hci-personas-whats-the-difference\/\">natural language processing<\/a> to assist in selecting persona interview questions for a given use case.<\/p>\n<p>Salminen, J., Chhirang, K., Jung, S.G., and\u00a0Jansen, B.
